At this session for GPs and Practice Managers the Victorian Health Industry Association will explain new legislative requirements.
31st May - Lifescripts Workshop
This workshop for GPs and practice nurses will provide training in the use of the Lifescripts resources and motivational interviewing techniques.
23rd May - Practice Nurse Support Group
This support group is offered bi-monthly for practice nurses to meet informally, exchange ideas and offer ongoing support to each other.
7th June - LetterWriter Templates for MD, for Practice Staff
This hands-on training session for practice staff will cover how to use the LetterWriter function, inserting database information, setting up and using templates and mail merge. Register online.
8th & 15th June - Refugee Health- GP Training
The Refugee Health GP Training module will assist GPs working with refugee patients. Register online.
15th July - Immunisation Workshop for Practice Nurses
This joint Southern Mentropolitan Regions divisional 1 day session will provide information on both clinical and administrative aspects of immunisation.
August & September - Cervical Screening Updates
Dr Stella Heley will be the presenter at this workshop to be repeated at 5 locations over 2 months. The sessions will include discussion of the guideline changes that come into effect on 3 July 2006 for management of women with screen-detected cervical abnormalities Division.

GPs are invited to take part in the ‘Chaos to Clarity’ program which offers training in using the Internet to efficiently and confidently obtain evidence based clinical information. The hands-on 45 minute sessions will take place on a one-to-one or small group at your practice or at the Division. If you are interested, please contact the Division.
